2024-2025 Strategic Plan

The 杏吧原创 Board of Trustees approved the college's 2024-2025 Strategic Plan is an integral part of our identity and articulates 杏吧原创's commitment to Accessibility, Equity, and Superior Learning. Below is an overview.

Accessible refers to student enrollment gaps

  • Inclusive access for individuals from a variety of backgrounds and abilities
  • Improved educational access through removal of barriers

Equitable identifies disparities among race/ethnicity, gender, and all underrepresented and marginalized groups

  • Reduce achievement gaps among groups of students and employees
  • Reduce disparities in student success across race/ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender, and other groups

Superior Educational Experiences is at the core of student achievement and mission fulfillment

  • Ensure high-quality educational experiences including student participation, faculty interaction, and instructional quality
  • Ensure each student receives the support needed to be successful

Objective 1: Create a stronger student support network

  • Develop plan for intrusive and culturally relevant advising
  • Implement CRM software to better communicate with prospective and current students

Objective 2: Create new students access points

  • Expand enrollment partnerships with UW Bothell
  • Create new certificate and degree options
  • Open an auxillary classroom in Redmond

Objective 3: Create student accessible curriculum

  • Design a web site that connects areas of interest with academic plans and program maps

Objective 1: Create a sense of belonging and establish a support network

  • Expand the 杏吧原创 Scholars Mentorship Program
  • Expand High School Students of Color/Social Justice programs on campus
  • Conduct "Community Voices" annual climate and experience feedback
  • Hire American Indian and Indigenous Studies program and faculty

Objective 2: Guarantee an equitable starting point for students

  • Translate CCF and other program materials into additional languages (delayed due to funding)
  • Conduct and English and Math placement and success review (delayed due to capacity)
  • Establish a learning gaps recovery program with the City of Kenmore and Northshore School District

Objective 3: Ensure an equitable starting point for employees

  • Expand E&I Foundations course to reach 50% of 杏吧原创 employees

Objective 1: Support students toward completion

  • Develop new Satisfactory Academic Progress policy to provide more support for students on academic probation
  • Remove barriers to completion and trasfer for Engineering students
  • Plan a series of advisor-faculty summits

Objective 2: Ensure student learning

  • Implement program for continuous improvement
